Quilting Camp
LOCATION
Quilting Camp
June 23-27 (1-3:30PM)
Everything 9-Patch
A variety of different methods for assembling the 9-patch block will be explored. There are many ways to organize 9-patch blocks into quilts. Examples of these will be covered as well as quilting designs for 9-patch quilts.
This will be a hands on class suitable for beginning quilters ages 12 to adult. Students should understand the basics of using a sewing machine although hand sewing options will also be available for those who are interested.
To make a small 9-patch quilt students are encouraged to bring 1 yard of a neutral fabric (white, off white, cream or light grey), 4 fat quarters of coordinating fabrics (or a variety of fabric scraps), and a spool of all purpose sewing thread.
Sewing machines, scissors, a cutting board and rotary cutter will be available, but students may bring these as well if they wish. Scrap fabrics will also be available.
